What is now known as the Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport, was once known as Livingstone Airport. The current name of Livingstone Airport is a tribute to Zambia's celebrated figure, Mr. Harry Mwanga Nkumbula, who was African National Congress's leader.
The airport has been structured on the north side of Livingstone in Zambia, and is the nearest to the famous and Zambia's pride, Victoria Falls. As of now, Livingstone Airport is undergoing some construction, and by the end of 2014 is expected to have one more terminal added.
Until 2012, Livingstone was the capital of Zambia's South Province. It is a very reputed tourist location, specifically in the Victoria falls. Historically, Livingstone was a British colony, and it was then it was named after the British explorer, David Livingstone, who found the area.
