Turku Airport is an international airport located in Turku, Finland, 8 kilometres or 5 miles north of Turku city centre. It is the fourth busiest airport in Finland, exclusively operated by Finavia, a state owned company. Access to and from Turku Airport is handled by taxi, car, car hire or bus. Two highways pass in the vicinity of the airport: highway E63, known as the Finnish national road 9, going from Turku to Tampere and Jyväskylä, and highway E18, known as Finnish national road 1, going from Naantali via the Turku Ring Road to Helsinki and Saint Petersburg, Russia. A parking area in front of the terminal is provided for the convenience of visitors.
