Billund airport serves mostly as an air-cargo airport, but it’s also used for passenger-flights. It is located near Billung, a small city in Denmark. The first intentions of creating an airport in Billung appeared in the early 60’s, and soon enough, in 1964, the airport was inaugurated. During the following years there were many upgrades and improvements, especially to the terminal infrastructure. ATM’s can be found at the 1st level, and if you want to exchange your currency, you can do it at level 2. The airport also offers a luxury longue and a meeting room for managers who want to set up a quick meeting. In order to gain access to one of the meeting rooms, you need to talk to a staff member and he will give you directions. Leaving the airport is extremely easy. At the 1st level you can find all the car hire companies where you can car hire from. For taxis you don’t need an appointment because many of them can be found in front of the terminal. The airport also provides a limousine transport. You can find the most attractive prices at one of the help-desks inside the terminal. It’s a good thing to know that you can find a 24/24 hours petrol station on your way to or from the airport, near the 1st parking area.
In Denmark there are a lot of touristic attractions, such as historical museums or statues which can be visited. The only thing you need to do now is to book a ticket towards Billund airport.
